(More customer reviews)It was a cheap replacement charger after the original blew. The charger, itself, isn't too bad. Don't trust the green ready light on it though. It seems to be run off of a timer rather than an actual measurement of battery charge.
The battery that comes with it is good if you're in a pinch but it won't register a charge level to the camcorder so you never know when it's about to die. I just use it as an emergency backup battery and all is well. It also seems to have a much shorter life than my original Canon battery. But this might also have to do with it not being conditioned as the original battery has been.
A good buy for the price, but don't expect miracles. It is just as it appears--a cheap replacement.
