It is listed as seven separate items for different kinds of camcorders, implying that it was made specifically for that camcorder series. But it is only one item. This seems deceptive. It would not fit in the "shoe" of my Canon HF200--making it useless for handheld work.
I could find no advantage in sound quality over the built-in microphones of my camcorder.
I checked out different delivery options, and anything but standard delivery was outrageously priced. I think I made sure to check standard delivery before I ordered it, but it came in two days. I discovered I had been charged over $30 for 2-day delivery--perhaps it was my mistake. But this is over double what Amazon would charge. I ended up paying $55.96 for this item. This seller's policy is to charge a 30% restocking fee IF they accept a return. So in principle I might recover $16 of the $56 I spent, but it wouldn't be worth the trouble.
