(More customer reviews)I purchased this charger to save the 50+ bucks that the official Canon charger would have cost. The Wasabi charger seems to charge a dead BP-808 (for my FS11 camera) battery in a little over an hour. Owners of the FS11 camera will note that the battery condition part of the display does a pretty good job of counting down the filming time as the battery discharges. The camera's internal charging circuit and power manager seems to adjust a counter in the battery, itself, to display its capacity in filming minutes. The Wasabi charger ignores this feature and simply charges the battery. When the Wasabi charges a completely dead battery to full charge the camera will report a completely dead battery but will operate as if it had a fully charged battery. If the camera is attached to its power supply for a minute or two it will wind-up the clock in the battery and display normally.
